"A Gateway to the Wonders of Ancient Egypt."
The Vision
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is the world's largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization. Located on the Giza Plateau, it serves as a gateway to the wonders of Ancient Egypt.
The Collection
Home to over 100,000 artifacts, the museum features the complete collection of King Tutankhamun, showcased together for the first time since their discovery in 1922.
King Tutankhamun’s Gold Mask
King Tutankhamun’s Gold Mask is one of the most iconic treasures of ancient Egypt. Crafted over 3,300 years ago, it was placed over the young pharaoh’s mummy to guide and protect him in the afterlife. The mask is made of solid gold, inlaid with colored glass and precious stones.
Khufu’s Solar Boat
Khufu’s Solar Boat is one of the most remarkable wooden vessels ever discovered in ancient Egypt. Buried beside the Great Pyramid for more than 4,500 years, the boat was intended to carry Pharaoh Khufu on his spiritual journey with the sun god Ra in the afterlife.
The Colossal Statue of Ramses II
The Colossal Statue of Ramses II is one of the most iconic monuments of ancient Egypt, carved over 3,000 years ago to honor one of the empire’s greatest pharaohs. Standing over 10 meters tall, the statue showcases Ramses II’s power, divine authority, and enduring legacy.
Tutankhamun’s Chariots
Tutankhamun’s chariots are among the most impressive discoveries from the young pharaoh’s tomb. Six chariots were found dismantled and carefully stored, each showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and advanced engineering for their time.
